So, we're using "Suvetar" by Gjallarhorn in ritual today, which is not a perfect match for intention, as it's an invocation of a goddess of Spring... but the texture, rhythm, and mood were dead perfect for the ritual, and... nobody in our group will recognize the words.

All better today.

I just wish he'd given me the directions for how he wants his props for the God Auction painted *before* I'd started painting. And, you know, 24 hours notice is fine, but 48 would have been a lot better.

Sipping tea -- Tetley's "British Blend" with a dash of cardamom, milk and sugar. It's the perfect meeting of Earl Grey and Chai.

On Sunday, I went downstairs to help the KIDspace team with the youth. Passing through the hallway, looking at the portraits of famous Unitarians and Universalists, I did a double-take. Is it just me, or does Sophia Fahs looks like Béla Bartók in drag?

I'm making another triptych for the God Box at Gaia Community, for this year's patron deity, Lugh.

Mmmm, linky.

The last triptych I made was backed with blue velvet and I tried multiple ways of connecting the three boards (hand-cut pressboard), all of which categorically failed and left me with a 'permanently unhinged' triptych. Grr ( Read more... )
